Frequently asked

Frequently asked

What exactly is the Startup Zone?
A dedicated, fully designed home for climate startups inside COP31, set in the public Green Zone with stages, studios, B2B spaces, and an investor lounge. Not a pavilion, not a side event.
How do I take part, as an Exhibitor or a Sponsor?
Two routes. As an Exhibitor you take your own space on the floor (a desk stand, 5 m², or 15 m²). As a Sponsor you back the Zone and take a branded role across it. You can apply for either from the top of this page.
Who is the desk stand for?
The desk stand is built for early-stage climate startups, companies 0 to 3 years old, who want a foothold on the floor to meet people and show what they are building.
Does applying secure my space?
No. Your submission is an expression of interest, not a confirmed allocation. All submissions are reviewed against total demand and operational feasibility; formal allocation and space decisions are communicated in separate correspondence, through startup@cop31.tr.
Will investors actually be there?
Yes. The Zone runs an investor lounge and schedules investor and founder meetings before and during the event, so the conversations that move capital happen on the floor, not only in the hallway.
What is the Startup Workshop COP31 (SW-COP31)?
Over ten days of workshops, selected members of the Startup Zone work with SW-COP31 to identify the sector's current challenges and the solutions proposed to address them.
How can I join the SW-COP31?
Participation in the SW-COP31 is arranged through a separate application form. Submissions are reviewed by the COP31 Startup Zone team, and selected participants are confirmed in separate correspondence at a later stage.
